How I represent clients at Schwabe
I advise tribal nations on various matters across the full range of Indian and tribal law—including environmental and cultural resource issues associated with federal lands. I assist with drafting tribal constitutions, business codes, and tax codes, and have negotiated with various federal agencies on government contracts and grant funds.
As an Extern for the U.S. Department of the Interior, I gained experience working on issues related to fee-into-trust processes, HEARTH Act regulations, and management of trust assets such as forestry, land acquisitions, realty, and environment, and cultural resources issues associated with federal lands
At my previous firm, I established systems for collaboration with tribal nations and publicized a periodic publication for tribal clients with a distinct focus on land use, jurisdiction, environmental/natural resources, and conservation in Indian Country.
