One of Portland’s largest law firms has grown even larger.

Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt PC has added the team from Stolowitz Ford Cowger LLP to its fold. The seven-member group is an intellectual property and patent boutique firm.

The strategy gives Schwabe 32 IP attorneys, making it one of the Northwest’s largest IP groups. The new attorneys’ expertise includes electrical engineering and optics, as well as deep tech industry experience. The team has worked with Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments and Xerox.

The seven new Schwabe attorneys are Michael Cofield, Graciela Cowger, Steve Ford, Bryan Kirkpatrick, Jeffrey Marlink, Mark Meininger and Micah Stolowitz. Four paralegals and one legal assistant will also make the move.

Schwabe, the city’s second-largest law firm, now employs 118 attorneys in the Portland area.
