Professional Experience
Dave Hepler joined Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 2003, focusing his practice on commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Hepler devotes a substantial portion of his practice to representing buyers and sellers of timberlands, as well as advising timberland owners and forest product companies regarding all types of operational forest products issues. He particularly enjoys the field trips that come with this area of practice due to his love of the woods and his belief that an attorney can best represent his clients after seeing firsthand how their business operates.

Mr. Hepler also enjoys all types of commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, leasing, financing, and development activities. Representing a broad array of clients — from movie theaters to lenders to restaurants to industrial land owners and operators — ensures a steady stream of interesting issues and engaging negotiations.

Within the firm, Mr. Hepler is the Co-Chair of the firm's real estate group, chair of the Lateral Integration Committee, and serves on the Hiring Committee and Opinion Committee.

Prior to joining Schwabe, Mr. Hepler practiced real estate finance law at the San Diego office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

Professional & Community Activities
Mr. Hepler is a member of the Board of Clackamas County Service Center, which provides basic services to low-income residents of Clackamas County, Oregon. In 2008, 2009, and 2011, Mr. Hepler was named a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics magazine, a distinction that recognizes outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
